Delivery

  • What are my delivery options?
    At the ecoBaby Company we post or courier your order to any address in South Africa. Orders of R650 or more automatically qualify for Free Courier Delivery. Should you wish to have your Free Delivery order sent via the Post Office, you can use the Notes field to let us know. Orders below R650 will be prompted to choose the delivery method that you prefer on the ‘Checkout’ page. MAIN CENTRES
    • Courier delivery takes 1 to 3 working days from your order being dispatched. Delivery via courier is a door to door service. Courier deliveries are made Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. Our couriers do not deliver on weekends or public holidays.
    • Post Office delivery takes 2 to 4 working days from your order being dispatched. Delivery via the post office is a counter to counter service. Please remember to take the parcel card or tracking reference and your ID with you when you go to collect your parcel.
    OUTLYING AREAS
    • Courier delivery to outlying areas takes 2 to 5 working days from your order being dispatched. Please do not hesitate to contact our customer services team if you wish to get a more exact estimate. Unfortunately we cannot offer courier delivery to remote areas e.g. remote farms or mines. The post office option is available for these areas, or we can deliver to a friend/store in a nearby town.
    • Post Office delivery takes 4 to 7 working days from your order being dispatched. Delivery via the post office is a counter to counter service. Please remember to take the parcel card or tracking reference and your ID with you when you go to collect your parcel.
    Please note that the lead times shown above are the normal scenarios. We do our best to dispatch orders as they come in and we rely on our couriers to not experience delays, but we cannot guarantee the lead times, they are just estimates. If you need to know exactly how long a particular courier delivery will take, please contact us and we will gladly assist. If your delivery has not been delivered after the estimated times shown above, please contact us with your order number so that we can follow up on the matter.
  • How do I qualify for free delivery?
    If your shopping carts total is R650 or more, you automatically qualify for free delivery in South Africa.
    • If delivery is to a main centre the free delivery option takes between 1 - 3 days from dispatch to your door
    • If delivery is outside of main centres the free delivery option can take up to 7 days from dispatch to your door
    • Should you be unable to receive a courier delivery and prefer for us to make use of the South African Post Office (Counter to Counter) then please let us know. Either by using the "special instructions" box in the shopping cart or by contacting us via email or phone
  • Help, I’m in a hurry! How can I get my order sooner?
    If you need something in a hurry we will do our best to help you. Please contact us before placing your order and we will check out the best options to get your order to you ASAP and send you a shipping quote. Also remember that by ordering earlier in the week and early in the day we can get your delivery to you sooner.
  • Can I send an order to someone else as a gift?
    Absolutely! All you need to do is select ‘Ship to a different address’ when filling out your checkout details. Enter the name and delivery details of the lucky person who will be receiving the gift and we will take care of the rest. We will even include a free, hand-written gift card with your purchase. Neat, hey?
  • Can I track my order?
    We will email you your parcel's tracking information as soon as it is dispatched. You can then track your parcel on the post office or courier's websites.
  • Do I have to receive a courier delivery personally?
    Anyone at the delivery address can accept a courier delivery. In order for us to confirm that delivery of an order has been completed, we do not have to prove that you personally received the goods, but rather that any person at the delivery address signed for the delivery.
  • What happens if no one is home when the courier tries to deliver?
    Ideally, please give an address where someone will be available to sign for your delivery during working hours. If there is no one at home when the courier arrives, your parcel will be taken back to the depot and delivery will be attempted again on the next delivery run. Unfortunately we can't guarantee delivery at a particular time of day nor can we guarantee that the delivery guys will ring you before a delivery is made.
  • Do you deliver outside of South Africa?
    We do not currently offer overseas delivery in our online checkout, however we are happy to quote you on a individual basis and will gladly send your order to anywhere in the world. Please contact us before completing your order online and we will calculate a shipping quote for you based on the size and weight of the products that you are interested in. If you are happy with the shipping quote we will then email you an invoice for your full order which you can pay for via our secure online credit card payment system. Once payment is received we will pack your goodies up nice and snug and send them off on the next flight outta here.
    How long will it take my order to arrive?
    All international orders are sent via the post office’s airmail service, which includes a tracking number for your convenience. Delivery takes between 10-15 working days.
    What currency will I be paying in?
    All transactions are processed in South African Rands (ZAR).
    What are my payment options?
    For international deliveries we currently only accept payment via credit card unless you have a South African bank account from which you wish to make payment. In this case an EFT payment is also possible.
  • Can I place an order for delivery in South Africa if I am not in South Africa?
    You can place an order for delivery in South Africa no matter where you are in the world. Our website is handy if you live abroad and want to send an awesome gift to relatives or friends who live in South Africa. We will even include a hand written gift note with your order at no extra charge!

ecoBaby Reward Points

  • What are my Reward Points worth?
    100 Reward Points are equal to R1. Points are non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • How do ecoBaby Reward Points Work?
    You can earn Reward Points every time you visit the ecoBaby Company. The points have an actual financial value and can be used as currency on our website to pay for future orders. No minimum orders or strings attached, just our way of thanking you for being a loyal customer. You can earn Reward Points by doing any of the following: Placing an order: Every time you place an order with us you will earn points based on the value of the items that you pay for. For every R10 spent on ecoBaby goodies, you will automatically earn 1 Reward Point.
    • Add products to your bag and place your order
    • Our checkout system will display how many points your order is worth. It will also allow you to spend points earned from previous interactions on ecoBaby
    • Your user account will automatically be topped up with Reward Points, based on the subtotal of your order, when we receive payment
    • You can view your points balance by logging into your user account. Don’t have an account? Sign up here
    • You can use your Reward Points at any time to pay partially or fully for an order
    • Points are not earned on shipping costs

FAQ

  • What happens if an item I ordered is out of stock?
    We carry a large stock holding in our warehouse which we are constantly restocking. However it is possible that you will order a product that our suppliers have not informed us is out of stock. If this happens we will contact you within one working day to notify you and to give you options e.g. swop for a similar product, refund etc. Rest assured that we will always do our best to get the products you desire to you as soon as possible and that you will always be kept in the loop with how your order is progressing.
  • What is your returns policy?
    If your product arrives broken we will replace it at our cost. Before returning a product, we do require that you first request authorization from our customer service team by emailing them at info@ecobabyco.co.za. Should clothing not fit and you want to exchange it for another size, we will most certainly assist you. Please ensure you return the items in the same condition you received them. If you have changed your mind about a product we will always try our best to facilitate a return, however please note that shipping, (and VAT and Duties for International Orders) will be for your account, so it is best to be very sure of your decision before you proceed.
  • Will I have to pay Customs and Duties?
    Most people ordering goods from outside their country will be liable to pay Customs and VAT on their purchase. Customs and duties are sadly out of our control and are determined by the customs officers and laws in the country to which the product is being shipped. You may have to pay for these duties when the package gets to your country.

    We know this is a worry for some folk, especially first-timers. But, yes, they're safe. All credit card transactions take place on a secure page (your address bar will appear green). Our payment gateways only use the strictest form of encryption, Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website.
  • What are my payment options?
    At checkout, you will be given the option to make payment by the following methods:
    • Credit Card – Payments are securely processed through our secure payment gateway, Payfast. Payfast accepts Visa and Mastercard. Our payment gateways use the strictest form of encryption, Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website.
    • Bank Transfer – You will receive an invoice by email with our bank details and we will dispatch your order as soon as we receive confirmation of payment. To speed up the processing of your order, you can send your proof of payment to info@ecobabyco.co.za
    • ecoBaby Reward Points – You can pay for your order, in part or in full, with reward points earned from previous purchases and from submitting product reviews
    • Gift Voucher – You can pay for your order with an ecoBaby gift voucher. The option to apply your voucher will be shown on both the ‘Shopping Cart’ page and the ‘Checkout’ page.

  • How do I view your products?
    We are an online store only and do not have a physical store or a showroom for you to view products before purchase. All our products and prices are listed on our site and are always kept up to date.
  • How do I place an order?
    • Find the products that you would like to order by browsing the categories or brands using the green navigation menu bar. You can also search for products, or products containing certain ingredients, by using the 'Search' box above the navigation menu.
    • Once on the product page, options such as colour, size etc. may be listed to the right of the product image. If these options are available, select your choice from the drop down menu in order to activate the ‘Add to Cart’ button.
    • Select the quantity you would like to order using the minus and plus buttons.
    • When you are happy with your selection, add it to your shopping bag by clicking the orange 'Add to Cart' button.
    • If you are now finished shopping, click ‘Checkout', or click 'Continue shopping' to add other products to your cart.
    • At any time you can view what’s in your cart, remove and update the quantity of items, by clicking on Shopping Cart in the top right corner of the page or clicking on View Cart.
    • When you have finished shopping, click ‘Checkout’.
    • Enter your contact and delivery details on this page.
    • Choose your delivery method. Your order can either be delivered counter to counter via the post office or by a door to door courier service. It will take 3 to 7 working days by post office and 1 to 4 working days by courier service. If your order is over R300 you will qualify for our Free Delivery service.
    • Select your method of payment at the bottom of the page. You can pay via credit card or EFT Bank Deposit.
    • If you pay via bank transfer or ATM deposit you will receive your order quicker if you send your proof of payment to info@ecobabyco.co.za. Our bank details will be sent to you in an order confirmation email when you click ‘Place Order’.
    • If you are paying by credit card you will be redirected to our secure payment gateway, Payfast, when you click on ‘Place Order’. Follow the steps on the Payfast site to securely make your payment. An order confirmation email will be sent to you once the payment has been successfully made.
